As far as locations go, this one takes some beating. The Hotel Riudor is set in the Rincon de Loix area of Benidorm, close to Levante beach - the golden sands are just a three to four-minute walk away. There are plenty of bars and restaurants right on the doorstep. Plus there's an indoor market close by, too. The hotel itself is part of Thomson's Exclusively for Adults collection and as such it's as tranquil as it gets. The pool area is particularly peaceful with a long stretch of turquoise set into a sun terrace speckled with chairs and parasols. Inside, they've kept things simple. Take the lobby for instance. Mirrored desk panels, potted plants and chandeliered pillars add a touch of grandeur to a blank canvas of tiled floors and cream walls. There's more of the same in the restaurant, where meals are served buffet-style. Bedrooms are furnished in pale wood and come with air-conditioning and private balconies. On the entertainment front, there's plenty worth talking about. Dancing, theme nights and bingo all feature on the menu of activities. But top billing goes to the British singers that perform here several times a week. Factor in staff that are friendly, helpful and pleased to provide information and advice, and it's easy to see why guests return here year after year.
