As approaches go, this one is impressive. The driveway is festooned with purpley-pink archways of bougainvillea, and the whitewashed buildings are cloaked in blooms. Behind the hotel you've got mountains dotted with tiny white-cube villages. And in front the Aegean Sea stretches as far as the eye can see – broken only by a freckling of tiny islands. It's truly paradise found.
The pool scene certainly does the scenery justice. As far as main pools go, there are two adult ones and two more for children. Plus there's a plunge pool with water slides and an open-air whirlpool in one of the adult pools. What's more, they're all set into a raised terrace on the waterfront, so sea views come as standard. Beyond the terrace, you'll find a small man-made beach of soft golden sand and a waterfront sun terrace decked out with over-size beanbags and shade-giving gazebos.
Inside, they've gone all out to impress. Take the lobby for example. A cavernous marble space, it comes with floor-to-ceiling windows. Over to one Side you'll find mural-covered walls and a club-style lobby bar. And the bedrooms are in a league of their own. Decorated in shades of cream, lavender and chocolate, each one is kitted out with sofas, pot plants and wrought-iron balconies.
You won't be short on things to do while you're here, either. On the activity front there's everything from watersports and tennis to basketball and step classes. The entertainment team run games and competitions all day, every day. Plus there's plenty in the way of quiet time. Try the spa where thermal mud baths, aromatherapy and hot stone massage are all on the menu.
