Walking up the dirt track leading to this place, you kind of feel like Dorothy on the Yellow Brick Road – a little bit apprehensive about what’s at the end of it. And while there’s no Emerald City waiting for you, what you will find is a fairly recent addition to the Kavos apartment scene. Tastefully designed, it’s got a simple Mediterranen look and feel. The pool bar’s particularly nice, decked out with low-slung sofas and director-style chairs. Looks aside, the Alexandra’s big pull is the location. Not only is it right by the beach but it’s only about a 15-minute stroll into the centre of Kavos.
