As far as locations go, this one certainly takes some beating. The Hotel Cretan Park's perfectly positioned on the warm sands of the beach, complemented by acre upon acre of countryside to the rear. It's also close to neighbouring islands, so you can explore by day and be back in time for dinner.
As for the hotel itself, it's got natural beauty by the bucket load. The grounds are covered with all manner of brightly coloured flowers, with the occasional palm and olive tree dotted in-between. Heading inside, it's clear to see that style's important to the owners. There's an eye catching mixture of traditional and modern styles, evident in the glamorous reception area. Classic wooden beams and whitewashed walls form the base, with a modern twist of furniture and fittings straight from an interior design magazine. But don't think this place is all style and no substance – far from it.
There's plenty to keep you amused from morning 'til night. On top of the swimming pools, there's watersports, tennis, aerobics – you can even try your hand making your own t-shirts. But here, it's the evening entertainment that really shines. Every night of the week you can catch a show by the entertainment team, or a live band by the pool. And there's a folklore evening, which is based around an authentic taste of Greece. So expect plenty of ouzo, a few smashed plates, and plenty of dancing. It's the perfect end to a perfect day.
