The hotel itself is set on a hill, with steps leading through the grounds. Dotted around are terracotta-coloured houses tucked beneath tall trees. Step inside and rooms are straight from the modern school of design. Cue lime-green feature walls, bold photographic prints and dark-wood double and twin beds.

In terms of things to do here, days tend to be played out by the pools. You've got two to choose from, including one that's tucked away among the trees. They both come with a pool bar and sunloungers - some are big enough to share. And, because this place is part of our Thomson Couples collection, it's adults-only - which means you can relax in child-free surroundings.

If you'd rather chill out by the sea, meanwhile, head down to the hotel's private beach. It's set in a sheltered bay, so it's really peaceful. And the vibe is just as tranquil at the hotel's sanctuary-like spa, where sauna sessions and massages for two are on the menu.

On the food front, the main restaurant offers up delicious buffets and show-cooking.
