Nestled into greenery on the Olu Deniz peninsula, the Flamingo Hotel offers up great views of the Turkish countryside. It also puts you within easy reach of all the action – it’s just a 20-minute walk from Olu Deniz Beach and the town centre.

Rooms here are laid out in sunshine-yellow blocks, surrounded by trees and bougainvillea. At the centre of the grounds you’ll find two swimming pools, which are bordered by loungers and parasols. There’s a turtle-shaped number for little ones to splash around in, as well, and a couple of poolside bars mean refreshments are taken care of.

On the dining front, the restaurant serves up Turkish buffet spreads in the mornings, as well as made-to-order omelettes and pancakes. Evenings, meanwhile, sees different types of meat and fish on offer. There are regular Turkish quiz nights laid on, too, with kebabs and belly dancing on the agenda.
