None. Should you have walking difficulties be sure to ask for an apartment close to the breakfast room for added convenience. This will also place you close to the pool and also the car park area. Upon arrival and departure you can also be transferred to your apartment / room by the hotel's little golf buggies for added convenience.

Lush gardens, green and well maintained with large pineapple palms and exotic flowers. It's a beautiful setting for the perfect hideaway. It feels intimate and yet as hotels go, it is quite a decent size. The overall feel is relaxed and the gardens make the whole stay a much more laid back and cosy experience.

Drinks are served through the day. Relaxed and laid back feel in the small bar area which is just off set from the main reception area.

Breakfast Room

A buffet breakfast is served in the little wooden gazebo style cabin area between 9am - 10.30am, whilst during the summer the terrace is also a great location for breakfast al fresco. The buffet breakfast consists of scrambled eggs, sausages and baked beans, a range of fresh pastries and cakes, yoghurts, bread rolls and toasts, a range of teas, coffee, juices, cereals, cakes and fresh, warm Pastal De Natas on a Sunday (Try them and forget the diet they are delicious)!!

The pools within the grounds are open from 9am to 7pm. The pools are set in pretty surrounds and feature large sun decks for lounging and a small child area for bathing. There are 3 large pools on either side of the grounds, 2 on oneside and another separated by a small side road.

Beach

2km to the most wonderful unspoilt beaches and you have a choice of 2 at your finger tips, either the small town of Burgau or Praia da Luz itself. Lagos Beach is also a short drive from the hotel.

reception

A small reception area (manned 8am - 7pm) is located in a separate little building and upon arrival the small buggies are used to transport you to your room, it's really fun!!

Airport

A taxi can be arranged to / from the airport by the hotel, approximate journey time is 1 hour and c. 80.00 euros. Though a hire car is the easiest and most inexpensive method for getting to / from the hotel, journey time is approx. 60- 70mins. A shuttle transfer can also be arranged from the many shuttle bus transfer providers. A Car is a great way of giving yourself extra independence and for exploring the surrounding area and often gives much more value for money broken down on a daily basis.

These offer twin or double beds, soft gentle shades and a blend of traditional and contemporary furnishings. The rooms also have a smallfridge for you to chill your own drinks which you can purchase from the bar .

directions

From the airport, follow signs to Portimao and Albufeira, keep on the A22 highway all the way until you see the exit for Lagos. Continue towards Lagos and you will then see signs for Sagres and Praia da Luz. You will see a turning on your left denoting Luz, you should ignore this and turn left on the 2nd sign for Luz shortly after a sign for 'Espische' which you will see on your right. Once on this road be sure to follow the signs for Burgau - this road will lead you to the Quinta do Mar da Luz which is about a 2km drive from this point. You will start to see the hotel signs en route (be sure to look carefully as they can be easy to miss)!! Quinta do Mar da Luz is on your left side.

There are 3 pool areas, and a lovely character gazebo cabin where buffet breakfast is taken either indoors or on the garden deck terrace over looking the pretty gardens. Close to the stunning beaches of Praia Da Luz, Lagos and Burgau, this is the perfect setting for that special 'Holiday a deux' The service is great, it is an original hotel quite unlike any other in the area and has a real sense of vitality and well being about it.
