The Vila Spa and Golf is a modern resort hotel that opened in 2004. It nestles in a pine forest, which includes a golf course offering a choice of 27 different holes to play. The surrounding area blends into the natural Vila Sol environment, all linked with footpaths which wind their way around lakes and mountains.

The hotel is situated approximately 20 minutes drive from Faro airport, and about 2 kms to the south there are a number of sandy beaches. The Marina of Vilamoura, with its selection of restaurants, bars, shops and the Casino, is also about 2 kms away.
