There is an I-Ride Trolley operating from early morning to midnight along the six-mile International Drive corridor and its many shopping, dining, and entertainment attractions. It stops at the hotel and also links to a public bus that the hotel offers FREE transportation to the Walt Disney World Theme parks.

Useful Information

Nearby there is a helicopter/airplane sightseeing and fishing. Also located one mile from the resort there is the Shingle Creek Golf Course, a public facility offering shoe and club rentals.

Food & Beverage

The resort offers the Blue Marlin Grille, a multi level dining room, with a terrace and bar/lounge, the Maxs Deli/Mini Mart with a terrace and the Red Parrot Pool Bar, open from late morning to late evening.

Accommodation

The resort offers guest rooms equipped with refrigerator, dual line telephone, pay movies, and Nintendo video game consoles. The decor features cream coloured walls with a decorative band and light coloured wood furniture. High-speed Internet access is also available for a surcharge.

Please note that renovations take place at some of the buildings of the hotel which will be completed in October 2008. The tower building renovations are ongoing and are scheduled to be completed by the middle of 2009. Restaurant refurbishments are due to begin in June 08 for about four months; the outdoor patio area & lobby ballrooms will accommodate breakfast each morning during this period. Renovations on the remainder of the resort will begin in October 2008 and are scheduled to be completed by April 09. Areas under works are shut down in order not to adversely affect guests in any way.

The International Plaza Resort and Spa (formerly The Sheraton World Resort) is located just a half-mile from Sea World, close to Orlandos Convention Center and along the busy International Drive corridor. The 28 acre resort has an array display of palm trees and flowering gardens. The complex features sky-lit lobby paneled in raw wood and includes seating areas amid palm trees, flower gardens, parrots, and Indonesian-style ceiling fans. The complex serves both as a major convention hotel and a tranquil resort for leisure travellers.

Sports & Leisure

Sporting and leisure activities include 3 heated swimming pools, one with a rock waterfall and the other two 15 foot-diameter children’s pools, and a 12 person spa tub. There is also miniature golf, a sand playground and a health and beauty spa.
