Design-wise, it’s a mix of ultra sleek and super simple. The lobby is made almost entirely of marble, with splashes of gold and glinting chandeliers. The restaurant follows a similar theme, with rows of spotlights reflected in floor-to-ceiling mirrors.

Outside, two lagoon-like pools wind their way around tropical gardens and sun terraces. There’s a waterfall to splash about under, and a separate pool for children. Little wooden bridges link everything together, so you can get to the palm-thatched pool bar in the middle. And when you fancy a break from the sun, there’s another shady terrace tucked away in the gardens.

Meals in the main restaurant are buffet-style, so you can go back as many times as you want. There’s show cooking in the evening, too, and the hotel lays on themed dinners every week, from Italian and Mexican to typical Canarian cuisine.

On top of all that, there’s plenty in the way of entertainment, with a kids’ club in the day and family-friendly shows at night. Considering this place even has its own minigolf course, you’ll be spoilt for choice for things to do.

Situated in the heart of Playa del Ingles with its bars, restaurants and shops, 1km to the beach, 50m to bus stop, 30km to the airport and 4km to the nearest golf course, Golf Maspalomas. Transfer time from Las Palmas harbour is about 1hr, 30 mins.
