The Presidente has swiped itself what is probably one of Ibiza’s best locations. Perched above a lovely cove, its setting is as pretty as a picture. More than that, the area is fairly quiet without being remote. You can walk to local restaurants and shops in around five minutes, and there are bus stops and taxi ranks nearby.
The beach, meanwhile, has fun written all over it. Reached by steps from the hotel, it combines soft sands with shallow turquoise seas, so it’s ideal for pint-sized swimming, paddling and play-abouts. Adding to the fun are pedalos and the shoals of fish that dart through the waters.
Beach aside, the hotel has lots up its sleeve to entertain everyone. The main focus is the swimming pool. Shaped like an egg-timer, it’s set into terraces laden with sunloungers and offers views through the pines to the sea below. There’s an open-air spa for grown-ups to escape to, as well. It’s got a hot tub overlooking the bay, plus massages and a well-equipped gym. Rounding things off on the adult activities front are water polo, archery and a golf net.
Even more impressive are the facilities for the kids. Whether they’re tots, teens or anything between, they’ll be in their element. We’re talking a playground, Thomson Kidzone clubs and all the Familyclub Xtra trimmings like Thomson the Dog themed rooms.
Inside, the hotel is modern and comfortable. The stylish, wicker-chaired buffet restaurant serves up classic Spanish and international dishes.
