The four star Ramla Bay Resort is situated on a secluded peninsula on the northern coast of Malta, overlooking the picturesque islands of Gozo and Comino and is one of the few hotels in Malta that offer private sandy beach facilities to its guests.

Location

The closest village, Mellieha, has numerous shops, bars and restaurants, ranging from some of Malta's best to casual pizzerias, with the most popular beaches on the island, Mellieha Bay and Golden Bay, only a few kilometres away. A boat taxi is available from the Hotel to Comino and the Blue Lagoon which are just across the channel. The Resort is only a 20 minute ferry boat trip across to the Island of Gozo. The hotel is approximately 25km from the airport.

Activities

There are two outdoor pools to choose from, one of which has a small island in the centre, linked to the side by bridges, and the swim up Sea Breeze Pool Bar. The indoor pool (closed in July and August), is part of the Spa du Soleil which also offers whirlpool (closed in July and August), sauna, fitness room and massage rooms. For children there is a play area, two outdoor children’s pools, arcade games room and a kid’s club for 4-12yrs old (open in July & August twice a week for 4 hrs). Mountain bikes and table tennis are also available. From the private sandy beach snorkelling can be enjoyed, there is also the Blue Waves watersports centre (open May to October) offering jet ski's, paddle boats, canoes, water ski-ing, windsurfing, fishing trips and private boat charters. There is also the Dawn Dives PADI diving centre (closed in Jan) for both experienced divers and courses for beginners. (Some facilites are at a charge).
For dining there is the Alang Alang A La Carte restaurant offering home made meals, specialising in Mediterranean cuisine whilst The Horizon restaurant offers buffet style dining, with its live cooking station where guests can watch chefs prepare grills, pasta and daily specialities. The Sunset Lounge is open for speciality coffee, tea and home made cakes and pastries. By night the Lobby Bar features regular live entertainment during summer.

All rooms are well appointed and include either sea or land view, private bathroom, hair dryer, air-conditioning, telephone, TV, radio, mini bar and terrace or balcony. There is also a fridge and safety deposit box (at a charge), with tea/coffee making facilities available in the Panoramic rooms only free of charge.
