Local tips: for a great shopping experience Tunisian style take a trip to the Medina – rows of narrow streets resplendent with souks (shops) offering all manner of goods from including clothes, local handmade items including carpets, pottery and leather goods. Haggling is a must if you really want to but the item – and it is offensive to walk away without buying after a long barter so only enter a bartering conversation if you really want it!
